Doug’s Sports Rap: Week Three
Week three of the NFL showcased some of the better teams, like the undefeated Buffalo Bills, and the worst teams, like the winless Giants and Jets.
The Bills built a lead, but Rams quarterback Jared Goff led a comeback with four straight touchdown drives to take the lead, before Josh Allen threw a touchdown pass to Tyler Kroft for a 35-32 win over the LA Rams.
The New York Jets were routed by the Indianapolis Colts 36-7, Sam Darnold threw two interceptions that were both run back for touchdowns.
The New York Giants mirror the Jets giving up the same amount of points in a horrible performance as the San Francisco 49ers crushes the Giants 36-9.
The Chicago Bears are one of several teams that remain perfect in the 2020 season, Nick Foles replaced Mitchell Trubisky and stage a wild comeback with three touchdowns in the last half of the fourth quarter to defeat the Atlanta Falcons 30-26.
Big Ben and the Pittsburgh Steelers are 3-0 on the season with an impressive fourth quatre rally to defeat the Houston Texans 28-21
The undefeated Green Bay Packers and future hall of famer Aaron Rodgers, who put up 283 passing yards and three touchdowns to defeat the New Orleans Saints 37-30.
Add the Tennessee Titans to the list of a perfect 3-0 as place kicker Stephen Gostkowski hit a career best six field goals to lead the Titans over the Minnesota Vikings 31-30.
The Lions beat the Arizona Cardinals 26-23 to snap an eleven-game losing streak on a 39 yard field goal by Matt Prater with no time remaining, and the Cleveland Browns are now over .500 as they defeated the Washington (???) 34-20.
Tom Brady threw three TD’s and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers rolled over the Broncos 28-10.
New England Patriots are still showing signs of their former dynasty with a 36-20 win over the Las Vegas Raiders.
The Carolina Panthers beat the LA Chargers, thanks to a Panthers defense who created three turnovers in a 21-16 win.
The Seattle Seahawks didn’t need help from the hawks nest, but they did need DK Metcalf who caught a 29 yard pass from Russell Wilson with less than two minutes remaining to beat the Dallas Cowboys 38-31.
We even had a tie in week three as the Cincinnati Bengals and Philadelphia Eagles ended overtime locked at 23 apiece.
