Crop Killing Temperatures Forecast

The growing season may very well be over in the Southern Tier and Central New York.

In addition to a Frost Advisory for October 10, the National Weather Service has issued a Freeze Warning in effect from 1 to 9 a.m. October 11 for the region.

A Freeze Warning means below freezing temperatures are imminent or highly likely. The conditions would kill crops and other sensitive vegetation.

The Freeze Warning includes, Broome, Tioga, Cortland, Chenango and Delaware Counties in New York and Bradford and Susquehanna Counties in Pennsylvania.
