We spoke with WNBF’s Roger Neel on Friday morning on First News Binghamton as he called in to talk about the upcoming season.

The Bearcats lost one of their star players Sam Sessoms, who transferred to Penn State, Sessoms averaged 19.4 points per game last season.

Returning this year is America East Rookie of the Year Forward George Tinsley, who averaged 38 minutes per game last season.

Forward/Center Thomas Bruce returns, Roger said this man can rock The Events Center with blocks (177 coming into this season) it’s unfortunate there will be no crowd to appreciate his slam dunks, and dominating presence on the court.

Two Sophomores looking to improve this season, Brenton Mills who is a good outside shooter, and Dan Petcash who is an excellent three-point shooter, Roger says he is a player to keep an eye on this season.

High school basketball fans in the area may recognize one of the new players this season Tyler Bertram, a graduate of Cooperstown High School, an excellent shooter who will get some playing time into this season.

Saturday’s game can be seen on ESPN+  and Roger Neel will have live updates for both the Women’s and Men’s games, through the Bearcat Facebook Page.

Our thanks to WNBF’s Roger Neel for his preview of the upcoming Men’s season
