Broome/ Tioga Make Thousands at Auction

Broome County officials say a weekend auction of surplus equipment and materials has netted almost $222,000.

The auction, involving municipalities and school districts in Broome and Tioga Counties channeled almost $97,000 to Broome County.

Bidders had the chance to pick up surplus or not needed cars, trucks, bicycles, office equipment, recreational equipment, heavy equipment and more.

Broome County has brought in over $530,000 from auctions since 2012.
