
Broome Jail Mental Health Worker Accused of Passing Contraband
A mental health employee working at the Broome County Correctional Facility in the Town of Dickinson is being accused of giving a banned item to an inmate in the Broome County Jail.
According to the Broome County Sheriff’s Office, authorities conducted an investigation into allegations of inappropriate conduct between a forensic mental health employee and an inmate.
The Sheriff’s office says Krista Robertson of Endicott is charged with Promoting Prison Contraband in the Second Degree, which is a misdemeanor.
Robertson is accused of providing a prohibited item to an inmate but the information from the Sheriff’s Office did not give details concerning the nature of the “prohibited item.”
According to the news release, the crime reportedly happened on Thursday, October 13.

Robertson was processed and fingerprinted then given an appearance ticket for the Town of Dickinson Court for a later date.
