UPDATE: Former Broome Corrections Officer Due for Pre-Trial Contraband Hearing Adjourned
UPDATE 3/25/22: The Broome County District Attorney's Office on Friday noted the hearing was adjourned with no future court date scheduled.
Pre-trial hearings that were scheduled in Broome County Court for a former Broome Corrections Officer accused of promoting prison contraband were adjourned.
According to court documents, Sammy L. Davis Junior of Endicott was scheduled for the action March 24.
Davis was arrested along with two others in September, 2021 following an investigation into methamphetamine, Adderall pills, suboxone, tobacco, matches, a lighter and jewelry smuggled into the lock-up in the Town of Dickinson.
Davis, 33-year-old Scott McLean of Binghamton and 21-year-old Kathryn Buckley of Binghamton were all charged with Promoting Prison Contraband, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance, Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance and Conspiracy.
The Broome County District Attorney's Office on Friday noted the hearing was adjourned with no future court date scheduled.
