Arrest in Tioga County Jail Contraband Investigation

Bob Joseph/WNBF News [file][/caption]A 35-year-old man has been charged following an investigation into contraband at the Tioga County Jail.

Authorities say Andrew Ceurter of Newfield was arrested on Tuesday. He faces charges of introducing dangerous contraband and criminal possession of a controlled substance.

The arrest was made after a joint investigation by Tioga County sheriff's deputies and corrections officers.

Ceurter was arraigned in Owego town court and sent to the jail on $20,000 bail.
