Over 650 regional volunteers in over 60 countries are hosting write-in events at libraries, bookstores and coffee shops during the month of November, taking on a literary challenge of 50,000 words in 30 days to create an original novel.

In the Binghamton area, the write-ins will be hosted at the George F. Johnson library in Endicott each Saturday in November from 1 to 3 p.m.
This year, for the first time, the local write-ins will feature high tech meets low tech with the addition of a Typwriter Brigade along with laptop computers and notebooks.

Writers participate for the love of the written word alone since there are no judges or prizes and entries are deleted from the web server before anyone reads them.
