Brian Cashman, General Manager and Sr. Vice-President of the New York Yankees is the keynote speaker for the Greater Binghamton Sports Hall of Fame Induction Dinner scheduled for Monday, April 18th at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Binghamton.  12 of the area's all-time sports greats will be honored at the event.  A cocktail hour begins at 5:30 PM with the dinner set for 6:30.

Cashman has been part of the New York Yankees since 1986 when he joined the team as an intern.  He has been the team's general manager since 1998.

Under Cashman's leadership as an assistant general manager and general manager the Yankees have won four World Series Championships.  He has overseen numerous deals bringing a number of standouts to the Yankees including Mark Teixeira, Masahiro Tanaka, Jacoby Ellsbury and many others.
