Binghamton Senators Fall to Norfolk
The Binghamton Senators battled the Norfolk Admirals even into the third period last night but yielded three unanswered goals in the third period to fall 6-3 at the Broome County Veterans Memorial Arena. The Admirals out-shot Binghamton 40 - 25 in the game.
Emerson Etem scored the hat trick for Norfolk including an empty-net goal in the closing minute of the third period. Derek Grant scored the first goal of the game for the B-Sens. Patrick Mullen scored his first goal as a B-Sen player. Chris Wideman notched the third B-Sens tally late in the second period.
Brad Thiessen earned his fourth win of the season for the Admirals. Wilkes-Barre/Scranton defeated Albany 1-0 last night to move two points ahead of Binghamton in the East Division. The B-Sens host the Penguins this afternoon at 3:05. Going into today's action Wilkes-Barre/Scranton has 88 points, Binghamton 86 , Norfolk 81 and Hershey 80 points.
