Hang on baseball fans. The season is not far off. The Binghamton Rumble Ponies are set to begin their 2025 season on Friday, April 4th with a 3-game series in New Hampshire against the Fisher Cats at Delta Dental Stadium.

The first home game series will be Tuesday, April 8th through the 13th hosting the Hartford Yard Goats at Mirabito Stadium on Henry Street in Binghamton.

According to Jacob Wilkins, Director of Broadcast and Media Relations for the Rumble Ponies and play by play announcer for the home and away games on Townsquare Media's WNBF Radio, the Rumble Ponies coaching staff has been revealed as of today (February 5, 2025.)

Manager

Reid Brignac will be back for his 4th season as Manager for the Rumble Ponies. He led a Rumble Ponies squad that at one point won 10 consecutive games, marking the franchise’s longest regular season winning streak since 2006. Brignac assisted the Met's major league staff for a few games at the end of their regular season.

Pitching Coach

Dan McKinney will be in his 1st season at Binghamton, and his 3rd season with the Mets organization. During the 2024 season, McKinney worked in the same capacity for the Brooklyn Cyclones (High-A), and in 2023 was the pitching coach for Single-A St. Lucie.

Hitting Coach

Nate Irving steps into that position for his 1st year in the Mets organization. Previously, Irving was with the Cincinnati Reds organization for 6 years, serving 2 of those years as a minor league hitting coach, 1 year as a bench coach, and 3 years as an MLB Coaching Assistant/bullpen catcher.

Bench Coach

Mariano Duncan kicks off his 4th year with the Rumble Ponies in 2025 and his 7th year in the Mets organization. Duncan was a big part of the Rumble Ponies 2023 run to the Eastern League Championship Series.

 Assistant Hitting Coach

Aaron Bray is a newcomer to the Binghamton Rumble Ponies organization. Previously, he spent 2 seasons as a hitting coach in the San Diego Padres and also served as a minor league coach in the Boston Red Sox in 2022. Bray was selected by the Houston Astros in the 27th round of the 2009 draft out of UNC Charlotte, playing professionally for 2 seasons.

Other Returning Staff

Other staff coming back this year include Baseball Analytics Analyst Will Moscato, Baseball Technology & Video Associate Jaron Richman, and Athletic Training Associate Meghan Haas.

Clubhouse Manager

Mike Vavalle is also returning for his 9th season as Clubhouse Manager and 7th season as Home Clubhouse Manager.
