Binghamton Mets Host Portland Tonight
The homestand for the Binghamton Mets continues tonight with the first of four straight games against the Portland Sea Dogs at NYSEG Stadium. Binghamton brings a record of 9-5 into the game while the Sea Dogs are 10-4. The B-Mets and Portland met last week in Maine. They played just one game in what was scheduled to be a three-game series. Rain, snow and cold temperatures forced postponement of two of the three games. In the one game played the Sea Dogs won 9-4.
Last season the B-Mets went 13-7 against the Sea Dogs and were 8-4 at NYSEG Stadium. Tonight Tyler Pill is on the mound for the B-Mets against Portland's Henry Owens.
In Binghamton's last game Matt Reynolds had four hits and scored what proved to be the winning run as the B-Mets topped New Hampshire 3-2. The B-Mets have three players in the top ten in Eastern League batting average. Matt Reynolds is hitting at a .383 clip, Matt Clark checks in at .364 and Darrell Ceciliani is at .359.
All games in the series begin at 6:35 with airtime on News Radio 1290 WNBF set for 6:20 PM. Games can also be heard online at wnbf.com.
