The Binghamton Mets topped the Erie SeaWolves in Erie,Pa today by the final score of 9-6.  The game, played at Jerry Uht Park came down to one inning.  In the fourth inning Binghamton pounded Erie pitching for nine runs on seven hits.  The big blow in the inning came on a three-run home run by Travis Taijeron.

Despite the big lead the SeaWolves chased starter Rainy Lara in their half of the inning by scoring six runs of their own.  As it turned out the 15 total runs scored in the inning ended up as the only runs scored in the entire game.

For Binghamton eight of nine hitters got at least one hit.  With the victory the B-Mets take the rubber game of the series and up their record to 12-8.  Erie falls to 9-12.

The Binghamton Mets continue their road swing with three games coming up in Akron.  Start time for tomorrow night's series opener is 6:35 with airtime at 6:20 on News Radio 1290 WNBF.
