Binghamton Man Charged in Clinton Street Bar Shooting

A Binghamton man is charged with felony assault in connection with a shooting incident at around 1:45 a.m. January 14 at the Clinton Hotel.

City Police say 39 year old James Simpson is also charged with felony criminal possession of a weapon.

At around quarter of two Police say they found a man shot in the right leg at the Clinton Street bar and Simpson was found a short time later on Baxter Street.

The victim’s injuries were said to be non-life threatening.
