Both the men's and women's basketball teams had a busy weekend.  Linda Cimino's women's team played December 6 at New Jersey Institute of Technology.  It is the third of six consecutive road games for the Bearcats including a re-scheduled game at Canisius December 11.  Airtime with Tim Heiman today is set for 11:45 as BU looks for its second win of the season.

In the afternoon of December 6, the men's basketball team hosted Penn at the Events Center.  It is the second meeting ever between these two teams.  Two seasons ago Penn earned a 65-54 victory at the Palestra in Philadelphia.

The Quakers are coming off their first win of the season as they defeated Navy 57-46 December 3.  They are 1-5 and are led in scoring by guard Tony Hicks notching 15.8 points per game.  Their big man...Darien Nelson-Henry is also off to a good start.  The 6-11 forward is scoring 10.3 points per game and 6.7 rebounds per contest.

Binghamton began its post-Jordan Reed.  Reed, a pre-season All America East pick, did not play in the team's last three games and has asked for and been granted his release to transfer.  The Bearcats are hoping to ride the performance of Dusan Perovic into some victories.  Perovic set a new single game scoring record against Boston University December 3 when he scored 34 points including 6-8 three-point shots.  For the season he is hitting a blistering 15-19 shots from beyond the arc.
