27 Columbia Avenue is described as a single-family home on the Southside of the City of Binghamton. The Land Bank acquired the property in April 2025 in partnership with Broome County Government.

A partnership between the Land Bank and the City of Binghamton calls for the renovation of 10-12 single- and two-family homes.

The Broome County Land Bank is incredibly proud to announce today that the renovations at 27 Columbia Avenue in the City of Binghamton are complete and this home is now for sale through our Affordable Homes Program. This is our first completed renovation project this year, and the seventh overall ARPA-funded rehabilitation. There are so many project partners to thank, but we would like to issue a special thank you to the City of Binghamton, Broome County, and New York State Homes and Community Renewal for their assistance with this project. This home will provide another safe and affordable homeownership opportunity for a family right here in Broome County. - Robert O’Donnell, Executive Director of the Broome County Land Bank Corporation.

According to the announcement, the rehabilitation of this property is the seventh affordable homeownership opportunity provided through both funding sources and continues the goals of the Land Bank’s existing Affordable Homes Program, which aims to provide affordable homeownership opportunities to income-qualified buyers in the City of Binghamton.

This property is yet another great example of a vacant home in an otherwise stable neighborhood in the City of Binghamton that was in desperate need of restoration. The Land Bank is proud to work alongside our project partners to continue our track record of providing quality and affordable homeownership opportunities right here in our community. This project, and others to come, build upon our mission to address blight and stabilize neighborhoods across Broome County. - Aaron Martin, Chairman of the Land Bank Board of Directors
