The Binghamton Bearcats women's basketball team started Saturday afternoon off on the right foot with a home victory over the Vermont Catamounts.  The final score ended in Binghamton's favor 73-62.  The win put BU over .500 in the America East with a 2-1 record.  Vermont falls to 0-3 in conference action.

Forward Sherae Swinson and freshman Imani Watkins led the Bearcats offensively with 18 points each.  Freshman Jasmine Sina netted 17 points while junior Kim Albrecht also hit double digits with 14 points.  The Catamounts had two players reach double figures.  Sydney Smith and Kayla Burchill each scored 15 points.

Binghamton led at the half 30-27 and outscored the Catamounts 43-35 in the second 20 minutes.  The Bearcats host the top team in America East when they meet the Albany Grreat Danes at 7 PM Wednesday at the Events Center.  Tim Heiman calls the action on ESPN 1360 AM WYOS with air at 6:45 PM.
