The Binghamton Mets shut out the Portland Sea Dogs 2-0 in front of a jam-packed NYSEG Stadium  Baseball in Education Day crowd May 28.  Several thousand students from area schools raised the decibel level to high as they cheered for Binghamton.

Baseball in Education Day enables elementary students from all around the area to learn about the history of baseball and take in a Binghamton Mets day game.  Bus loads of young students attended and cheered for their B-Mets.

Aderlin Rodriguez drove in both Binghamton runs with a two-run double in the sixth inning.  Luis Cessa gave up three hits in six innings on the mound as he ups his record to 4-3.  Justin Haley took the loss and sees his record fall to 1-6.

With the win, Binghamton stands at 22-20 and will head to Altoona for the weekend.  The Curve and B-Mets open the series May 29 at 6 p.m.  Pre-game coverage begins at 5:45 on News Radio 1290 WNBF.
