Bearcats Basketball Home for Two
Both the women's and men's basketball teams are home for games on Saturday afternoon.
The first game pits the women against Yale and is scheduled for a Noon start (air at 11:45 on News Radio 1290 WNBF). The men follow at approximately 2 PM when they host the Colgate Raiders.
The women have faced Yale twice before and are 1-1 against the Bulldogs. Binghamton fell to Bucknell on the road on Wednesday night by a final score of 64-59. Providence also suffered a loss on Wednesday night dropping their game at Providence 55-51.
The Bearcats are led by Imani Watkins averaging 19.7 points per game. Alyssa James keys the defense and averages 4.7 blocks per game which is second in the nation.
Binghamton's men meet the Raiders after throttling Delaware State on Wednesday evening by a score of 85-64. BU is 4-4 and looks for a third straight win over Colgate. Overall, the Raiders lead the series 10-4.
The Bearcats' top guns are J.C. Show and Thomas Bruce. Show averages 14.9 points per game while Bruce is scoring at a 14.6 points per game clip. He is also averaging 8.9 rebounds per contest.
