B-Mets Begin Home Series
The Binghamton Mets are back home tonight to begin a weekend series against the Portland Sea Dogs at NYSEG Stadium. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 with air on News Radio 1290 WNBF at 6:50 PM. Last night Phillip Evans went 4-5 to help lead Binghamton to a 3-2 victory over the New Hampshire Fisher Cats in Manchester. Rainy Lara earned the win.
Tonight (Friday), Josh Zeid makes the start for the B-Mets. Zeid is 4-3 with an ERA of 3.86. Opposing him is Mitch Atkins with a 3-7 slate and an ERA of 4.98. Going into tonight's game Binghamton is 58-65 while the Sea Dogs are 47-65. Mathematically the B-Mets could still qualify for the playoffs but the elimination number is down to one. A B-Mets loss or a Trenton win knocks Binghamton out of the post-season picture.
