American Flags Collected for Respectful Disposal
Over two dozen locations around New York State are collecting damaged American flags to be disposed of properly over Memorial Day weekend.

28 sites, 14 in Albany alone are accepting tattered flags through May 22.
Locations for retiring Old Glory are scattered from downstate to Western New York including at the State Office Building on Hawley Street in Downtown Binghamton.
The New York State Office of General Services will collect the flags which will be taken to the New York State Fairgrounds near Syracuse.
A local chapter of the Vietnam Veterans of American will properly burn the flags during the May 26 Memorial Watchfire.
