The 2015 Southern Tier Heart Walk will be held on Sunday, April 12 on campus at SUNY Broome Community College.  SUNY Broome is a new location as the site moves from Binghamton University.  The fundraising goal set is $250,000.

Proceeds from the annual event go to help provide funding for research, prevention and treatment of heart disease and stroke.  The American Heart Association and American Stroke Association are devoted to saving people from heart disease and stroke..the two leading causes of death in the world.

At the recent kick-off gathering Heart Walk Chairman Howie Meller, President and CEO of GHS Federal Credit Union stated, "The Heart Walk gives us a chance to make an impact on the health of the Southern Tier.  Money raised at the walk helps fund lifesaving research, education and advocacy programs that help us all."
