A Windsor resident was arrested after police discovered her sleeping in a running car parked outside a Johnson City shopping plaza.

Authorities say police officers were sent to the plaza at 560 Harry L Drive around 9:55 p.m. Sunday to investigate a report of a woman passed out in a parked vehicle.

Investigators say officers woke up 21-year-old Lindsey Brown, the operator of the vehicle. They say she appeared disoriented.

Police found cocaine and methamphetamine in several plastic wraps in Brown's purse, which was in the car. A scale and a bundle of wax glassine envelopes also were discovered in the purse.

Brown was charged with two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance and two counts of criminally using drug paraphernalia. She was arraigned and sent to Broome County Jail.
