Police say a Dutchess County woman died at her home following an attack by her pet dogs.

Investigators say 67-year-old Arlene Renna was pronounced dead at her residence on Barkit Kennel Road in the town of Pleasant Valley.

New York State Police were called to the home around 4 p.m. Saturday with a report of a woman with life-threatening injuries.

Renna's husband found her unconscious on the living room floor when he arrived home.

Police say two coonhounds were kept in the residence as pets. No one else was home at the time of the attack.

Troopers found no indications of foul play in the incident.

The fate of the dogs will be determined by a judge. They were turned over to the Dutchess County SPCA.
