An Otsego County woman was charged with assault following a crash that injured a man driving a motorcycle.

Authorities say 54-year-old Cristina Tilton of Mount Vision was driving a sedan involved in a collision in the Town of Oneonta Friday afternoon.

According to New York State Police, 78-year-old Donald Fredenburg of Oneonta was thrown from his bike. He was flown by helicopter to Wilson Medical Center for treatment of his injuries.

Investigators say the car operated by Tilton turned directly into the path of the motorcycle.

In addition to a count of assault, Tilton was charged with driving while intoxicated and aggravated unlicensed operation.

Police say Tilton's blood alcohol content was reported to be 0.10 percent. The woman's license was revoked at the time of the crash.
