A Coventry woman is accused of threatening to skewer a person during a dispute and that has resulted in felony charges.

New York State Police say 43 year old Arzou Hami is charged with menacing a police officer, menacing, criminal possession of a weapon and resisting arrest for threatening a person with a barbecue skewer and threatening a trooper with an X-Acto knife.

Troopers say when they were called to a home on State Route 235 at around 11 a.m. November 11, Hami was allegedly inside, throwing and breaking things and had reportedly threatened the complainant with the grilling implement.

The officer found Hami sitting on the floor, refusing to show her hands before displaying the knife and threatening the trooper.

She was tased and taken into custody.

Hami was sent to the Chenango County Jail on $10,000 bail.
