Woman Accused of Having “Sexual Contact” with Dog, Hitting Person
Police say a Watertown resident was sent to jail after she allegedly had sexual contact with a dog and struck a 75-year-old woman several times with a fist.
45-year-old Teresa Salter was arrested Saturday after troopers were called to a home in Jefferson County.
Investigators say the initial complaint involved a domestic dispute at a residence in the town of Pamelia.
According to New York State Police, Salter is accused of striking another woman repeatedly with a closed fist. She also allegedly threatened the woman with a hammer and a kitchen knife.
Troopers later were advised Salter "was engaging in sexual contact with a dog inside the residence."
Salter was charged with sexual misconduct, menacing, harassment and criminal mischief. She was arraigned in Pamelia town court and sent to Jefferson County Jail on $1,000 bail.
