The National Weather Service is continuing a Winter Weather Advisory for the Southern Tier until 6 p.m. December 13.

While Broome, Tioga and Chenango Counties have reported only a dusting of snow, forecasters say motorists should plan on slippery road conditions and reduced visibility due to strong winds blowing accumulated snow across roadways in some areas.

There could be localized snow accumulations in some parts of Susquehanna and Wayne Counties in Pennsylvania and Broome, Tioga and Delaware Counties in New York State with lake effect snow.

Wind gusts could be as high as 35 miles per hour.

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means there could be travel difficulties with snow covered roads and limited visibility.

While the Winter Weather Advisory remained in effect for Broome, Tioga, Delaware and Tompkins counties, Winter Storm Warnings were in effect for Chenango and Cortland Counties.  The Winter Weather Advisory for the Northern Tier of Pennsylvania was replaced with a Hazardous Weather Outlook.
