The Binghamton Bearcats men's basketball team could not hold its second half lead and fell to the visiting New Hampshire Wildcats 57-52 at the Events Center on Saturday afternoon.  Binghamton trailed 28-25 at the half but took the lead early in the second half .  But a Jordan Reed three-pointer with 22 seconds left broke a 52-52 tie and put the Wildcats up 55-52.  Binghamton's J.C. Show tried to tie the game with a three-pointer of his own with six seconds left but missed.  Tanner Liessner was fouled by Tyler Stewart with one second left and made both free throws to ice the win.  The Bearcats led for 23:30 of the game and were up  48-41 with 5:20 left in the game.

Tyler Stewart was Binghamton's leading scorer finishing with 14 points. Willie Rodriguez also notched double figures with 10 points for BU.  Liessner scored 20 points for New Hampshire to lead them offensively.  Iba Camara set a new America East high for the season with 20 rebounds surpassing the 19 Thomas Bruce grabbed versus UMass Lowell a week earlier.

With the victory the Wildcats increased their winning streak over the Bearcats to nine in a row and ups their conference record to 5-3.  The Bearcats fall to 1-7 in America East play.  Binghamton remains home to host the top team in the conference on Wednesday night when the Vermont Catamounts visit the Events Center for a 7 PM start.
