On September 6th two sisters from Walton New York, Richelle and Delana Wood made a decision to hold a fundraiser lemonade sale to raise money to help the Delaware County Sheriff’s K9 program.

According to a press release from the Delaware County Sheriff’s Office, the sisters wanted to recognize K9 Ozzie who passed away from a medical condition earlier this year, and support the K9 program through Delaware County.

The sisters presented the donation to Deputy Kyle Karcher and K9 Eli on October 23rd at the girls Walton home.

In the press release Sheriff Craig DuMond said “we are grateful and humbled by the awesome gesture of these two fine young ladies…I am confident their parents, Rich and Donna Wood, are proud of their daughters and their concern for public safety and the well-being of our communities”.
