Vestal Residents Vote on a New Location for Fire Station #4

Vestal residents are being asked if the Town should purchase the former American Legion Hall on Jensen Road for the site of a new Fire Station.

If approved, the Town would spend $612,500 to purchase the three acres behind Kohls and build a new Fire Station Number Four, replacing the current fire house on the Vestal Parkway.

Polls are open June 12 from 2 to 9 p.m.

Officials say taking Fire Station 4 off the busy Parkway reduces dangers to motorists and fire personnel while opening another parcel for possible commercial development.
