
Vestal Police Say Social Media Threat About School Violence Baseless
Vestal Police say they have checked out a social media post regarding the threat of violence at the Vestal High School and determined the post October 24 was baseless.

Police say they identified and interviewed the person responsible.
Posting on their own Facebook page, Vestal Police said additional interviews were conducted as a precaution and they were confident no threat was ever made or intended.
Vestal Police published a post at around 10 p.m. October 24 regarding the concern raised on social media.
Authorities say they continue to be diligent in having a presence in the school and for School Resource Officers to be available to students, staff and visitors of the Vestal School District.
