Two long-time rivals square off again Friday night at Dick Hoover Stadium when the Vestal golden Bears host the Union-Endicott Tigers in high school football.
Vestal is 4-1 and coming off a romp over Ithaca in their last outing.  U-E is 5-0 and toppled Horseheads at Ty Cobb Stadium last Saturday.

The Tigers are led by standout quarterback Devon Hogan who has been electrifying.  He has had major success running and throwing the football.  U-E comes into the game averaging 33 points per game.  Vestal features a stingy defense.  The Golden Bears have given up just 48 point over their first five games for an average of 9.6 points per contest.

Both teams are in Section 4's Class A competition.  Along with neighborhood bragging rights the game may well decide who ends up as the top seed in the division. That team gets a bye for the opening round of the playoffs later this month.

The game will be broadcast on News Radio 1290 WNBF.  Roger Neel and Tim Smith call the action with air set for 6:50 PM.  In addition the game can be heard online at wnbf.com and on WNBF's mobile phone app.
