High School Football Weekend

There is lots of gridiron action set for this weekend around Section 4 Football. This is the sixth week of the regular season.  Tonight (Friday) one of the big match-ups is at Chenango Valley when the Warriors host undefeated Chenango Forks.

The Warriors are 2-4 and have been outscored 164-194.  The Blue Devils are 6-0 and have outscored opponents by a 262-92 margin.

The Forks is paced by an awesome running attack featuring junior Jeremiah Allen and sophomore Lucas Scott.  The potent one-two punch can be devastating.  In addition senior quarterback Jakob Topa can throw the ball well which gives the offense another weapon.

Meanwhile another unbeaten power travels to Windsor.  The Maine-Endwell Spartans head to Windsor looking for their seventh win of the season.  Like Chenango Forks the Spartans have to keep their blinders on against the Black Knights.  Area high school football fans have been chomping at the bit to see the Forks and Spartans collide next Saturday at Blue Devils' Stadium.  If both win tonight (Friday) a battle of the unbeatens will be set.
