A mass Covid-19 immunization site is being set up at the former Gannett newspaper printing facility in Johnson City.

According to NewsChannel 34, the operation off CFJ Boulevard is expected to open next week.

New York state has opened several other mass vaccination sites already. Officials have not publicly announced the target date for vaccinations to begin in Johnson City.

The property recently was purchased for use as a Binghamton University library annex.

Broome County Executive Jason Garnar on Wednesday said the state-run site is expected to vaccinate 800 to 1,000 people a day.
