Unadilla Man Dies in Brush-Clearing Accident

New York State Police say a Unadilla man is dead after a tree fell on him.

Authorities say 80-year old William Marszal was clearing trees on property on Ben Mccumber Road at around 6:15 p.m. May 11 and was driving a John Deer 420 dozer that was pulling a downed tree. 

Investigators say the tree that was being pulled uprooted another tree that fell on Marszal, causing fatal head trauma.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.
