Authorities say 21-year-old Ali Chandler of Arthur Avenue, Endicott, was charged with two counts of first-degree robbery. They say 26-year-old Ramel Noel, who had no permanent address, faces the same charges.

Detectives say Chandler and Noel were taken into custody on Friday. The men are suspects in two armed robberies that happened in a period of about 80 minutes.

Investigators say the first incident occurred late on the night of September 14 when a person was robbed in the parking lot of George Industries on South Page Avenue. Just over an hour later, a cab driver was robbed of cash by two men on Arthur Avenue.

Police say those targeted in both crimes were hurt but no details of their injuries was provided.

Chandler and Noel were arraigned in Endicott village court and sent to Broome County Jail without bail.

Detectives are continuing to investigate other robberies that occurred in September. They say more arrests are possible.
