Heavy traffic is expected in the Hudson Valley of likely traffic delays coinciding with the 50th anniversary of the Woodstock festival in Bethel.

Hundreds are expected to head to the site of the original celebration of "Peace, Love and Music" at Max Yasgur's farm via Route 17 and 17B.

Troopers predict traffic to be especially heavy on Route 17 westbound between the Thruway in Harriman and exit 104 onto Route 17B in Monticello with the peak hours westbound between 1-7 p.m. and eastbound between 11 p.m.-2 a.m. for all four days.

Crowd estimates are being up at upwards of 100,00 to what is now the Bethel Woods Center for the Arts and Woodstock Museum. The site is hosting separate shows by Arlo Guthrie, Ringo Star, Carlos Santana and John Fogerty.

Variety reports only ticketholders will be allowed onto the Bethel Woods Grounds Thursday through Sunday and must present the travel pass that was issued with their tickets.
