Tipped-Over House Blocks Road in Ouaquaga For Hours
Talk about "home-wreckers", Broome County Sheriff’s officials say tickets are expected to be written after a tractor trailer hauling a mobile home crashed on Route 79 near Ouaquaga Road in the Ouaquaga/Windsor area March 7, blocking the road for hours.
Surprisingly, damage to the tipped-over house was fairly minor. Speed is believed to have been a factor.
Broome County Sheriff’s officials and emergency medical crews were called to the scene between Ouaquaga Road and Tracy Drive at 9:41 a.m. March 7. The road was closed into the afternoon as crews worked to get the house right side up and off the road.
There were no injuries.
