Broome County Sheriff’s Warrant Division and the United States Marshals Regional Fugitive Task Force say they tracked down a Windsor man wanted for a previous assault charge who has been on the lam for months and seized over six grams of methamphetamine.

Tips led authorities to a home on East Windsor Road Friday, January 15 where 28 year old Jason Lagano was taken into custody.

Deputies say when they were arresting Lagano, they found him in possession of 6.3 grams of a powdery substance that tested positive for methamphetamine.

He’s being held in the Broome County Jail on a probation warrant.  He is also charged with felony criminal possession of a controlled substance.

53 year old Lawrence Hurd was also arrested for hindering prosecution and obstructing governmental administration.  He was ordered to appear in Town of Windsor Court at a later date.
