Tioga County Man Accused of Stealing Security Device

In a twist of irony, Tioga County Sheriff’s officials report a man is being charged for allegedly stealing something that is supposed to thwart crime.

Authorities say they arrested 32-year-old John Drabick of Newark Valley at 8:11 a.m. September 22 for petit larceny.

Deputies say he’s accused of stealing a security camera.

A news release from the Sheriff’s office didn’t specify where the camera had been taken from or whether it was hooked up and operating at the time.

Drabick has been ordered to appear in Town of Berkshire Court at a later date.
