Three Suspects From Around NY Arrested for Guns & Drugs in Virgil
Three residents hailing from around “upstate” New York are facing drug, weapon and other charges in Cortland County.
A woman from Chemung County, a man from Allegany County and a man from Onondaga County are facing weapon and drug charges in Cortland County after Sheriff’s Deputies stopped a vehicle near the Virgil Country Store Sunday, April 4 and found drugs and illegal weapons.
Authorities say 26-year-old Englund Horgan of Elmira is charged with three felony counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance, two felony counts of criminal possession of a weapon and two misdemeanor counts of criminal possession of drug paraphernalia.
43-year-old Peter McCarthy of Black Creek in Allegany County is charged with misdemeanor obstructing governmental administration and false personation for allegedly giving Deputies a fake name, aggravated unlawful operation of a vehicle, unauthorized wipers and vehicle and traffic infractions and 32-year-old Cory Barber of Manlius is charged with false personation for also lying about his identity.
All three have been ordered to appear in Town of Virgil Court later this month.
