Three people were reported injured after an explosion and fire at a residence in Delaware County.

The blast at 3949 Route 206 in the Town of Masonville happened at about 9:25 p.m. Wednesday.

Authorities say 31-year-old Shayne Charles was burned in the incident. He was listed in critical condition at Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse.

According to state police, 52-year-old Kela Charles and 29-year-old Kerry Vaccaro sustained minor injuries.

A dog inside the house at the time of the explosion survived.

The fire, which burned for several hours, destroyed the structure.

Police and fire investigators were working to determine what caused the explosion.
