Three Charged in Johnson City Prostitution Sting
Police say investigators made three arrests as part of a prostitution sting operation in Johnson City.
Authorities say the women face misdemeanor prostitution charges. All three allegedly agreed to have sex with an undercover officer in exchange for money.
Police say 25-year-old Jenna Briggs of the town of Chenango was released on an appearance ticket.
Investigators say 22-year-old Amanita Mansaray and 22-year-old Sharee Caldwell were arraigned in Johnson City village court. They were sent to Broome County Jail without bail.
Officials say in addition to the prostitution count, Mansaray was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana.
The sting operation was conducted by the Broome County and state police special investigations units.
