Two Margaretville residents are accused of drug possession following an investigation by the Delaware County Sheriff’s Office and New York State Police.

Authorities say a search of a home on East Hubble Hill Road has led to the arrest of 24 year old Lucas Labumbard and 20 year old Anna Bubko as well as the seizure of Hydrocodone, Oxycodone and over $1,400.

The pair is accused of breaking into Miller’s Drug Store on Maine Street in February and stealing more than three thousand pills which they later sold or consumed.

Authorities say the couple also later attempted to destroy other evidence including pharmacy containers stolen from the store.

Labumbad and Bubko are each charged with felony criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, felony tampering with evidence, felony burglary and misdemeanor criminal possession of stolen property

The pair is expected to face additional charges in connection with the theft of the narcotics.

Both were sent to the Delaware County Jail on $75,000 bail.
