"It's the stuff that dreams are made of !!!! "  And even dreaming of hitting a home run on the first pitch you face with a new team in a new league can be a stretch but not for Tim Tebow.  In his first at bat at the Double-A level Tebow ripped a three-run home run last (Thursday) night to help power the Binghamton Rumble Ponies to a 6-0 victory over the Portland Sea Dogs in the season opener for both teams.

Tebow played left field and went 1-4 at the plate in his Rumble Pony debut.  Tebow had also hit home runs in his first day with the Columbia Fireflies of the Class A South Atlantic League and his first day with Class A St Lucie.

Other Rumble Ponies who ripped opening day home runs were Peter Alonso and Jeff McNeil.  Drew Gagnon started for the Ponies and gave up just two hits in six innings of work.

Binghamton and Portland are scheduled to meet against at NYSEG Stadium tonight at 7:05.  Air is set for 6:50 on News Radio 1290 WNBF.
