The National Weather Service in Binghamton is warning about potentially dangerous cold for the region January 29.

Wind Chill Advisory in effect from 7 p.m. January 20 to 10 a.m. Friday, January 21 for parts of Central New York.

The National Weather Service is adding a Winter Storm Watch to the mix for the weekend after days of warning about expected bitterly cold wind chills.

Cold temperatures continue to be a concern for much of the Twin Tiers through at least midday January 11 while a blast of lsnow has coated some roadways.

A slippery weekend is giving way to a frigid start to a new week.

Much of the Twin Tiers is shivering under below-zero wind chills as winds kick up a small accumulation of snow from January 28 through early January 19.

The National Weather Service has issued a Wind Chill Advisory from 10 p.m. January 28 to 11 a.m. January 29 for Chenango, Cortland and Delaware Counties.

A Wind Chill Warning for the entire region remains in effect until 6 p.m. January 31 and below-zero wind chills are predicted through February 1.

The dangerously cold wind chill that’s been plaguing a good portion of the country is making its presence known in the Twin Tiers.

Road conditions have been improving following heavy snow that started January 19 and continued January 20 but now a big freeze is underway.
