Speaking on the August 19 and August 26 editions of the weekly, local public affairs program, Southern Tier Close Up, Southern Tier AIDS Program executive director John Berry talks about the continuing expansion of programs and services offered in a seven-county area of the Southern Tier and Central New York.

Berry says STAP has added staff, including a group of advisors that can help clients work through Medicaid questions while health services have also expanded to include issues outside of AIDS and HIV, like Diabetes and Hepatitis.  Berry adds most people don't know that Hepatitis is now responsible for more deaths than AIDS.

Also appearing on the program is STAP special events coordinator, Cindy Rotella.  She says the agency always has some fun at the special events including the AIDS Riide for Life bicycle tour around Cayuga Lake in September, which is a non-competitive ride of various lengths.
