St. Lawrence County Man Accused of Stealing Tractor in Cortland County
A St. Lawrence County man is facing a felony count in Cortland County in connection with the theft of farm equipment.
Cortland County Sheriff’s officials say their investigation into a report of a tractor stolen from a farm in the Town of Virgil in October of last year has led to 39-year-old Benjamin Marsh of Brasher Falls.
Authorities say they developed a lead that took them north and, with the help of the Saint Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office, tracked to the stolen tractor to a home in Brasher Falls.
The vehicle was impounded and has since been returned to the farmer.
Marsh turned himself in to Cortland County Investigators June 25 and was charged with felony grand larceny.
He’s been ordered to appear in Town of Virgil Court in July.
