Some Southern Tier Businesses Make Adjustments Due to COVID-19
Some businesses are opting to close or limit access in wake of the spread of the coronavirus.
While New York Governor Andrew Cuomo has not ordered a closing of restaurants, bars or other establishments, there are restrictions on how many people can gather in a space.
That includes gaming establishments. Tioga Downs Casino Resort says it is open under the state guidelines limiting attendance capacity.
Some private businesses, including some bars, have apparently been looking at their operations in light of the limit of attendance occupancy ordered by the governor as well as the business owners’ own concerns about the health and safety of staff and patrons.
The general advice is to call ahead if there are any doubts.
